Lazy Weekend

We didn't really do anything this weekend, but it was nice to spend some time together. We got our furniture on Saturday, which was exciting because now we finally have a table to eat on! We spent most of the weekend doing errands- and we finally got a camera!!! Here's some pics of our apartment (still not complete as we don't have our couch yet, but we're gettting there!)

More to come when we get our couch and clean up a little!!

Hump Day is over

Jeremy has been working LONG hours at his new job and comes home every night pooped. School has been a little crazy for me, but I'm getting used to the schedule. We're excited to relax this weekend and are hoping to get to the beach. Our 2nd round of furniture is coming on Saturday- we're getting a sleigh bed frame, leather bench, mirror, and a dining room table with kick ass chairs. All we need is our couch, which won't be here for another few weeks, and then we'll be all set and ready for visitors!! Once we get our camera we'll post pics of our new place! We're loving it here, getting settled, and really enjoying the PERFECT weather.

Playing Tourist in San Fran

My mom left a few days ago, but she just sent us her pictures of our fun day hanging out in San Fran on Sunday (we still didn't get a camera yet!). The weather was perfect and the city was packed. We planned on taking a boat to Alcatrez, but apparently so did everyone else and by the time we got to the city (held up by the 49ers traffic), the trip was sold out, so we spent most of the day walking around, eating yummy food (including free chocolate!), and then ended our day with a abbreviated duck tour (long story!). We had a blast and were sad to drop Momma G off at the airport (but she'll be back to visit in a few weeks!)

The newleyweds at Pier 39

The famous San Fran sourdough bread- yummy!!!

CRABS!!! Our favorite- of course we had to have some for lunch

The famous San Fran trolleys (and you can see the amazing view of the bay- it's usually VERY foggy- Momma G talked to the weather Gods before she came to visit)

Momma G comes to visit!!!

Momma G is the 1st to visit us in our new home and we have spent the last few days showing her our new hood. Today we went to San Fran and drove across the Golden Gate Bridge en route to Muir Woods National Park. Momma G saw her 1st redwoods and Jer got his 1st redwood walking stick. We finished off the night with a yummy dinner on trendy Castro street in Mountain View. Tomorrow we're off to the beach!!!

Yipppppeeeeee!!!! While I was away having a blast at the 9th grade retreat, Jeremy was at home celebrating because he got his dream job!! Starting Monday, Jeremy will be the Art Director/Senior Designer for Wolfgang's Vault (www.wolfgangsvault.com), a site that sells "the most important collection of rock memorabilia and recordings ever assembled" (according to the Wall Street Journal!). We are sooooooo excited!!!

Exploring our new home

We spent the weekend getting to know our new neighborhood. Yesterday we went to an arts and wine festival down the street in Mountain View (this is our 4th festival we've been to since we moved here- we're all about festivals!). The festival was HUGE and a lot of fun. We bought a wind chime made of obsidian (volcanic rock) and a hand made soap dish (which was blue of course!). We also got chocolate frozen bananas, our new favorite dessert that we discovered at the Ribs festival in Reno last weekend.

Today we went for a walk/hike along Stevens Creek in Mountain View and walked all the way to the Bay- 5 miles!! We still don't have any pictures to share, as our camera broke right before our wedding and we have yet to purchase a new one. Tomorrow I'm heading out to Aptos (next to Santa Cruz) for the 9th grade retreat and Jeremy is heading to San Fran to hopefully find out that he has a job (keep your fingers crossed!). The big exciting news (besided Jer getting a new job) is that our couch is coming on Tuesday (3 weeks early)!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEEEEEEEE- we can't wait!!!
