Summer time = fun with friends

Jayden goes back to school in a few weeks, so we've been spending as much time as we can with our friends. We are so lucky to have made such wonderful friends and it's so much fun watching the kiddos grow up together!

Playdate at D's house

Besties being silly

Blurry pic, but love it- the boys were having a blast jumping on D's bed

Playing hide-n-seek

When we try and find him he pops out and says, "I'm right here"...haha, love it!

Playing with Maxwell & Corey at the park

J & D playing at g&g's house after a playdate at the pool during the heat wave

Lunch time...love that the kids actually sit down and eat together!

Summer Fun

Jayden's summer program ended a few weeks ago and we've been enjoying spending time with friends and exploring the city. We go on a new adventure every day and both come home exhausted, but excited to tell Daddy about all of the fun we're having. Here are some pics of some of the things we've been doing these last couple of weeks...

Neighborhood walks, one of our favorite things to do this summer...proudly displaying his Dartmouth sweatshirt his Uncle Andrew got him

Riding Maxwell's motorcycle at the park...we've been spending lots of time at the park this summer!

Trying to keep up with the big kids

Last week we went to Daniel's house for a playdate with Daniel and Emi. We used to do this all the time, but since J was in school full time during the summer session, we hadn't spent time with our playgroup friends in a while. The kids had so much fun playing together and it was so nice to see J having fun with his buddies

Naked scooter time!

Last weekend J and I headed to Seaport Village to go biking. He's getting really good at lifting his legs and I'm pretty sure he'll be ready for a big boy bike (without training wheels) by the time he turns 3 (which is in 2 months...eeek)

I love this pic with the city in the background, he looks so little!

He would go down the hills with his feet up and say "mommy, I'm doing tricks"

Biking is hard work

when Jayden was in school I was able to go shopping ALONE, which was amazing, but now we're back to shopping together, which somehow takes ALL morning because once this child finds something he likes, he does not like to leave.

Jammin at Costco

Fun times...mommy got to deal with a nice little tantrum after I dragged him away from this toy (we were there for over 20 minutes)

I haven't been to Seaworld with Jayden in a while (I normally try to avoid it during the summer because it's so packed) but he's been asking to go every day, so I finally took him to Seaworld this week and we had so much fun. We saw the Shamu show and Pet's rule, played at the Bay of Play, and got to meet Shamu, Abby and Grover.

Shamu hugs!

We always get a special treat Churro before the show

At Pets Rule, Jayden's favorite show (he talks about this show pretty much every day)

On Wednesday we met up with Emi and Madeline and spent the entire day at La Jolla Shores. The kids spent hours in the water, running around, jumping the waves, splashing each other...we've had a very weird summer here and this was actually the 1st day it was hot enough to enjoy the water. It was definitely a perfect beach day and the kids (and parents) enjoyed every moment of it. Oh how I love perfect summer beach days!!!

The girls went to the water, so J enjoyed having ALL the toys to himself for a little bit

This is what 5 hours running around the beach with your friends will do to you.

On Friday we met up with some friends at the UTC mall for a Hullabaloo concert. Jayden absolutely LOVES this band (we listen to their CDs all the time in the car) and gets so excited to see Steve play his guitar and sing his favorite songs.

Listening to Steve

After the concert, Jayden and his buddies took a class at Waybeyond (which was right downstairs from where the concert was held). After the class we let the kids run around the mall...I just love watching J have so much fun with his friends...we sure are going to miss these guys when school starts up again in the fall.

After nap, we headed to Seaworld summer nights to see the nighttime Shamu show and the fireworks. I've been wanting to do this all summer, but we've been pretty busy...this is the last week of summer nights at Seaworld so we met up with J's friend Emi and we all had a blast. The kids played at the bay of play (which was PACKED) and then we watched the Shamu show and watched the fireworks. We didn't get home until almost 10 pm, but Jayden had a lot of fun (and it's summer, so who cares, right?!)

J is loving meeting all these characters...this was his 1st time meeting big bird

Love that smile =)

Driving the motorcycle at the arcade area at Seaworld

We watched the Shamu Rocks show, which is the nighttime Shamu show...it was actually pretty cool...and they do the fireworks show right after

Daddy had to work all day yesterday, so we went to the park with friends in the morning, and then after nap we headed downtown to g & g's . We hadn't seen them in almost 3 weeks since they were away for a while and then busy with work, and Jayden was sooooooo excited to see them. We played in the pool for a bit, had dinner and then headed over to Seaport for some dessert

Walking to Seaport with 2 of his favorite peeps

Of course Grandpa can't go to Seaport without getting ice cream

Eating ice cream with G & G (boy did he miss them when they were away!)

Way Beyond

Way Beyond, a new children's play place, opened up last month at the UTC mall, and they had some deal on the classes, so we decided to check it out this summer since J doesn't have school for the rest of the summer. Jayden took the class with his best friend Daniel, and they had a blast...we've already been back 3 times!
