Jayden's Special Day with Daddy and Grandpa

On Friday my mom and I spent the ENTIRE day at the spa while Daddy and Grandpa hung out with Jayden. The boys all went to Seaport Village while the girls were pampered. We were all reunited on the beach at Coronado at sunset! I was so relaxed and refreshed, but was so excited to see Jayden since it was the longest I'd ever been away from him.

Ok guys, I'm ready to go on our walk

Christmas with the cousins

This morning we flew to San Diego to spend the holiday weekend with Grandma and Grandpa since Daddy has a few days off of work. We were the last ones off the plane and Jer asked if Jayden could take a look at the cockpit...the pilot was so nice-- he let Jayden and Daddy sit in the pilot's seat and hang out in the cockpit!

After landing in SD, we ate a quick lunch, and then drove up to LA to spend Christmas Day with Uncle Andrew and all of the Goldstein cousins. We had so much fun hanging out with the fam, and decided this is going to be a new family tradition!

Making snow (yup, that's how we do it in California)

Looks like Jayden will soon be Jayden M.

The 2008 top ten names were just released and Jayden is number 2 =(

I remember when I was growing up there we 2 Joshs and 2 Matts and from K-6 they were referred to as Josh S, Josh F, Matt K, and Matt T...so it looks like Jayden will become Jayden M...oh well, I still love his name!

Too much cuteness

Jayden sporting his new Chanukah outfit from Uncle Bob & Uncle Howie! Thanks guys, he (we) love it!!! Also note that Jayden is actually wearing a hat (he's boycotted hats for the last 6+ months)...if I put it on him while he's distracted, he'll keep it on, but if he knows I'm putting it on, he'll take it off immediately. Kids are weird!

Chanukah Day 2

Today Jayden got a really cool turtle car from Aunt Jaime, Uncle Bryan and cousin Tyler. He LOVED it and had so much fun going up and down the halls (although he doesn't quite get how to do it himself yet, so mommy was getting a workout pushing him everywhere). Jayden is also loving latkes...he had them for lunch and dinner tonight!

Latkes!!!!!

Christmas Lights

I found a website that highlights different neighborhoods in the Bay Area that have cool Christmas lights and found a really cool neighborhood in San Carlos where every single house on the block puts lights up on their house. Jayden is obsessed with Christmas lights, so we thought it would be a fun thing to do. We had NO idea what to expect...we drove by right as it was starting to get dark and it was absolutely breathtaking. The neighborhood has a huge block party the Saturday before Christmas (we had no idea- we just thought we were going to look at the lights)...everyone was out on the streets, neighbors had fire pits going on their driveways, people were decorating cookies, and one of the neighbors set up a ramp with snow and the kids were going sledding...it was soooooooo much fun! Apparently they do the same thing for Halloween. I guess we know where we'll be trick-r-treating next year!

Hi Santa!

I would like a water and sand table, a play kitchen, a house for my mommy, and a car for my daddy

Jayden contemplating how to get to the North Pole

HAPPY HOLIDAYS =)

This house had a sign in front of it saying how many lights they used (493,174), how long it took them to put them up (17 hrs and 13 minutes) and how much their PG & E bill is ($78- solar powered).

We were in awe of this tree...it was so beautiful

The sledding ramp with REAL snow

Yes, these people are INSANE...but how fun would it be to live in this neighborhood?!

Jayden touching snow for the 1st time (such a California baby!)

Mesmerized

He loved these animals...I'm pretty sure he thought they were real since they moved

Jayden was in heaven...he walked around and looked at EVERYTHING

It's hard to see in this picture, but there are reindeer pulling this jeep, set up as Santa's sleigh...yes, these people take X-mas decorating to the next level

Seriously, how amazing is this tree?!

I loved this house...the tree is so pretty

Jayden never lets us put his hood on, but it was so cold I think he actually wanted it on (he's not used to the cold)

Sledding in California...how cool is that?! This neighborhood was INTENSE.

Only in California...an orange tree with Christmas lights! (There were also several palm tree with X-mas lights)
