Visiting the fam in San Diego

We just get back from an AMAZING week in San Diego. We had so much fun with the fam and Jayden loved seeing everyone! Jayden is feeling so much better (we LOVE prevacid) and actually slept through the night one night (from 10-7)!!!! Grandma and grandpa were awesome and gave us a much needed break. We went on walks, went skating, hung out in the hot tub, and ate yummy food with grandma and grandpa. Later in the week, Jayden finally got to meet his Uncle Andrew and instantly fell in love with him. Uncle AG's new name is now the baby whisperer, as Jayden instantly stopped crying and fell asleep every time AG picked him up! Yesterday, my aunt & uncle, and my cousins and their children came to visit us and we had so much fun. Jayden loved meeting his 2nd cousins and was, as my dad says, an ANGEL all day long!!! After celebrating my mother's birthday this morning, we sadly had to pack up the bags and head back north. Although it's nice to be home, we already miss being around the family. We had such an awesome week and can't wait to visit again! Luckily, we are going back in a month so Jayden can meet his Uncle BG, Aunt Jaime and cousin Tyler!

Jayden's 1st plane ride!!! He didn't cry once (of course it was only an hr and he nursed for 30 minutes of it!)
Getting clean with Grandpa- Jayden LOVES the shower!

We went to go to the hot tub one afternoon and left Jayden sleeping on grandpa. This is what they looked like when we left...

It's been a LONG couple of weeks

So this is the 1st time that I've had a few minutes to finally update the blog (sorry grandma Mack!!). The entire Mack family has been through a lot over the last few weeks. Jayden was diagnosed with severe reflux and has spent most of his days screaming in pain, arching his back, spitting up his food, and has been basically pretty miserable all the time. Mommy got the flu and then has been pretty sleep deprived trying to help her little man feel better. Daddy got the flu from Mommy, then got a horrible chest cold. Daddy still hasn't recovered as he was forced to take the night shift all last week as Mommy was about to lose it- there's only so much crying one person can handle. But, things are looking up- Jayden was put on new medicine that's making him feel MUCH better, Mommy is still sleep deprived but much less miserable as her son is no longer screaming in pain 24/7 and daddy is still sick, but on vacation so is getting much needed rest. The Mack family is on track to being better than ever for 2008! In the meantime, despite being sick and grumpy, Jayden is getting bigger and cuter every day. He's smiling a lot (when he's not crying!!) and he can hold his head up pretty much on his own. Here are some pics of the last couple of weeks...

TRIP TO RENO TO SEE AVA
A few weeks ago we went on a trip to Reno to visit our favorite little girl, little miss Ava. Well, little miss Ava is not so little anymore! She's crawling, standing up on her own, about to walk, and and is so stinkin cute! We had so much fun seeing Ava and her parents despite having the worst day of out entire lives the day we drove to Reno (long story- lets just say that 7 hrs of non-stop screaming with the radio blasting static is not very fun!). I'm afraid Jayden didn't get a chance to bond with his future wife as he was in too much pain (and wanted to kill his parents for taking him on a long car ride in his dreaded car seat), but we're hoping Ava will forget all about the crying and will
fall in love with our cutie when Jayden is a little older and is feeling better!

Loni and Jayden (right before his explosive poo!)

Paul & Ava (right before her meltdown...ahhh, babies!!!)

Jayden & Ava in carseat heaven- YEAH RIGHT (note Ava sleeping nicely in her carseat, while Jayden is WIDE awake and about to lose it!!!)

WOLFGANG'S VAULT CHRISTMAS PARTY
Next, we had Daddy's Christmas party. Jayden, for some reason (thank the lord), decided that he would be on his best behavior that day, and he barely cried the entire night (until we got in the car, or course!). It was nice for me to interact with adults and I finally was able to meet Jeremy's coworkers. Jeremy's boss even held Jayden and gave him a shout-out in his speech!! Jayden of course looked oh so cute for the party

Proud daddy

Not sure how this became sepia- oh well

THE LAST 2 WEEKS: CRYING, CRYING, AND MORE CRYING!!!
After the Christmas party, things started to go downhill. Jayden got more and more uncomfortable and so began the 2 weeks of non-stop crying. He did have a good 30-40 minutes every morning, which i tried to catch on video so jer and I could watch it when we were going insane from hearing our baby scream his head off the entire night!

smiles!

THIS IS WHAT SLEEP DEPRIVATION LOOKS LIKE
A sleep deprived mom trying to get a few minutes of sleep any way I can- this picture gives you a pretty good idea of how i've been feeling these last few weeks

THE ONLY TIME LEAVING THE HOUSE IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS
Everyone told me that I had to get out of the house, so I took Jayden to mommy & me yoga, where, what do you know, he was the only baby who cried the entire time! After yoga, I went to get some lunch with some of the moms. It was nice to talk to other moms and to get out of the house, but of course, Jayden cried to entire time!
Baby parking lot!! Note the 3 other babies sleeping peacefully in their strollers...not my baby!

A MUCH NEEDED VISIT FROM GRANDMA SUE
I got the flu, and Jeremy had to work, and there was no way I could take care of a sick screaming baby while I was throwing up, so we were lucky to have Grandma Sue stay with us for a few days. She took Jayden all day and let me get some much needed rest. Thank you grandma Sue, you're the best!!!

JANELLE AND SARAH VISIT
On Friday, my friends from work came over to hang out becuz they are on VACATION!!! Sarah brought over the Wii, Janelle brought LOTS of candy, and Jayden was spoiled rotten with hugs and kisses

Sarah getting her butt kicked while Jayden watched from his favorite new seat (thanks Aunt Jaime & Uncle Bryan!)

FINALLY FEELING BETTER

And now we're off to San Diego to see grandma & grandpa and to get so much needed help! We will post more pics soon! Hope everyone has a great holiday!!!!! We love and miss u all!!!!

HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!

Jeremy just turned 30 and Jayden decided to give his daddy a birthday celebration he wouldn't forget. We went to the Cheesecake Factory over the weekend to start the celebration and then yesterday we got daddy a big sushi platter and it was sitting on the table waiting for him when he came home! Jayden also got daddy some pictures for him to take to the office so whenever he is sad, he can just look at the pictures and smile! Speaking of smiles, Jayden is now smiling up a storm and we fall more in love with him every day!

Daddy's birthday celebration!!

More fun with Grandma

We spent the day yesterday walking around Sausalito, looking at the pretty view of the city. It was a little chilly, and Jayden slept through most of it, but we still had a blast. Jayden (and mommy & daddy) had an awesome weekend spending time with Grandma & Larry and we hope they come back soon to visit!!! Thanks for the family memories guys!!!!!

This is how Jayden spent most of the day in Sausalito- he wasn't too interested in shopping!
