Auntie Sarah's visit

This past week Auntie Sarah came down to visit us during her Feb break. Jer worked like crazy before she got here so he could take some time off to hang out with us, which was so much fun because we all had a mini vacation. Jayden LOVES Sarah and never let her rest for one second- they sang, danced, played all his instruments, built towers, bowled, played football, drove trucks etc etc. We also had an awesome time playing outside and hiking up Cowles mt, playing at the beach, and eating yummy food (and drinking A LOT of margaritas). When we picked up J from school on Thursday his 1st words were "auntie sarah." He was devastated when I told him she left that morning, and kept saying "no Auntie Sarah go home"...hopefully she will come back to visit us again sometime soon!

Amazing weekend in LA meeting the "in-laws"

Jamie's family came to LA to celebrate his grandmother's birthday, so we all drove up to LA to hang out and to finally meet Jamie's sister and her boyfriend. Jayden was seriously in HEAVEN with 11 adults playing with him and paying attention to him. He was laughing, smiling, jumping and dancing the entire time we were there. Grandma and Grandpa took Jayden home after dinner, and Jer and I stayed up in LA to go to Andrew's hockey team's skating party fundraiser. We had so much fun...and even stayed out till 2 am (I'm pretty sure that's the latest we've been out in 2+ yrs). As usual, we all had an amazing weekend with the LA crew and were sad to have to say goodbye.

Daddy's dream has finally come true

All men dream of having a little boy, and the day they find out they're having a son, they go through all the father-son things that they cannot wait to do with their little boy...well, for Jeremy, playing video games with his son is definitely pretty high up on his list. The other day Jer took out the Wii and asked J if he wanted to play- they played baseball and bowling. J of course had no idea what he was doing it, but both boys were grinning from ear to ear.

Blurry, but you can see him swinging in this one!

A shot of our tv FINALLY mounted (still have to repaint the ceiling)

Bye bye rain

It's been raining a lot lately (and by this I mean 1-2 times a week max for the last couple of weeks), yes, we're just a little bit spoiled...but we want the rain to go away so we can go back to the beach.

On Wednesday, we met up with Emi and the kids had a blast splashing in the puddles at the park.

Luckily it was beautiful out today (and supposed to be even nicer over the weekend) and we had an awesome day hanging out at the lake, feeding the ducks, biking, running, throwing rocks, and playing in the dirt.

Feeding the ducks...he must've said "ducks like bread" over 500 times

RUNNING...after biking over a mile (with mommy sprinting after him in flip flops), Jayden took a quick break in the stroller, then said "all done, mommy chase Jayden" and just took off...needless to say, I got a pretty good workout today chasing after this speedracer (when he was biking and running)...note to self, wear shorts and sneakers next time we go to the lake!

And a special treat hot cocoa from the starbucks across the street from the lake

We're headed to LA tomorrow to hang out with AG and Jamie and we finally get to meet Jamie's family...can't wait!!!

Music Class

Jayden LOVES music, so I signed him up for a music class through the local parks and rec and we had our 1st class today. Jayden's friends Emi and Daniel were also in the class, and the 3 of them had a great time playing all the instruments and dancing to the music. After the class we headed to the park next to the rec center and Jayden played all afternoon with his buddies -- such a fun day!

Weekend in LA

We headed to LA this weekend to hang out with AG and Jamie and to see an old high school friend whose daughter was having her 3rd b-day party on Saturday. We had an awesome weekend and Jayden had so much fun with his uncles. He was a trooper on Saturday as we drove 2 hrs, and then he missed his nap while we were at the party, but he had so much fun playing on the princess jumpie. This morning we headed to Manhattan Beach and hung out with all the cousins, which was a blast as usual.
