Playing in the rain
A few weeks ago (yes, I'm very behind in the blog) it randomly rained in San Diego for a few minutes. This was the 1st time we'd seen rain in San Diego and we've lived here for 5 months. Jayden had so much fun playing in the rain- I love all his funny expressions he makes when he's excited!

Hanging out
Jayden has been sick all week, which really put a damper on our social schedule! HA! We spent most of the week hanging out at home and didn't really do anything too exciting this week.

Went to run errands at 10 am and J passed out the moment I put him in the car (poor lil guy is so congested he hasn't been sleeping well at night)

Being silly wearing Daddy's shoes

He walked around in Jer's shoes for about an hr and had a full-on tantrum when we finally told him he had to take them off

Looking at the birds in the canyon

Dinner- LOVE LOVE LOVE that Jer now makes dinner almost every night (thank you grill gods). Of course Jayden will never eat any of it- he sticks to his diet of carbs, carbs, and carbs.

I had a Drs appt yesterday and this is what I saw when I got home. Jayden obviously is not feeling too great since he hasn't slept on any of us in a LONG time, and it was 2 hrs before his normal naptime. Poor lil guy (although Daddy was in heaven)

The previous owners never used the bottom part of our yard, so it's been very neglected for the past 7 years. Our plan is to make it a fun kid-friendly area, and this was our 1st DIY project. There's a random pit in between the putting green and the horsehoe area which we're guessing was previously used as a sand trap. We bought some sand at the hardware store and made it into a little "beach" area for Jayden. He loves it! Our next plans are to grow grass down there, fix the clubhouse so J can actually play in it, and make a small patio for a firepit in the big dirt area.

Random hanging out at home shots
In two months (and one day) our little man will be turning two...I cannot believe it. Jayden is such an amazing little boy and I am so proud of the person he is becoming. He is a ball of energy and can run faster than any toddler I know. He is so kind and caring, shares with his friends, and loves to give hugs (on his terms). He definitely has an attitude (what toddler doesn't), but he is such a kindhearted caring child and I love that. He is still obsessed with wheels, but has now added guitars to his list. He loves music and loves singing, and he actually has rhythm (unlike his mother). He is talking non-stop and loves to name everything we see. His favorite toys are: his guitar from the cousins, his baby stroller, and, of course, his cars.
Since we finally have a big enough space, we've been spending a lot more time at home. Here are some random shots from the past week...

J thought it would be funny to play in the sprinklers in his PJs

Wet PJs

Reading with Daddy

Papa hugs

Baseball with Daddy

Look at that stance!

Big boy sitting at the table

Driving one of his many cars

I went to the bathroom and when I came back this is what I saw...the funny thing is this kept him amused for at least 15 minutes, it was hilarious!
