Playing Daddy/Grandpa Mack's Guitar

When Grandma Mack moved out West, Daddy made sure to get his father's guitar, in hopes of one day learning how to play the guitar. Life has kinda gotten in the way with playing, but Jayden is now showing some interest! The guitar has been hidden away from Jayden, but was moved around while we're trying to pack up the house...the other day I was getting ready and I heard this noise and couldn't find Jayden anywhere. I followed the noise, and there was Jayden, sitting in Daddy's closet, playing Grandpa Mack's guitar...so so cute!

Random pics from the past couple of days

Jayden loves to play with the clementines (I'm pretty sure he thinks they're orange balls)

Lazy morning

Watching the hail come down...yes, we had HAIL in California (and later that day it was sunny and 65)

Jayden and Izzy rockin' the park

A few weeks ago we found this new park in Hillsborough (amongst the 10-20 million dollar water view homes) and it, like the surrounding neighborhood, it absolutely beautiful. It's only a 5 minute drive, so we've been back there pretty much every afternoon it hasn't been raining. Jayden loves it, it has an area for him to "ride" his bike, and lots of nice dogs hang out there. Over the weekend, we met up with Jayden's BFF Izzy and spent the day at the park. We all had a blast and Jeff (Izzy's dad) took some cute pics for us (since we've been slacking with the picture taking lately).

He definitely knows what he likes

For quite some time, Jayden has been obsessed with two things: wheels and dogs. His obsession grows every day, and is becoming quite a problem since everywhere we go we see both wheels and dogs. We had to hide his bike because he has a complete full-on melt down if he sees it and doesn't get to play with it. We had to leave the Palo Alto Children's Museum today because one of the kids came in on his trike and Jayden ran over and cried until the boy let him sit on it. After sitting on the bike (smiling) for 10 minutes, I picked him up and told him it was time to explore the museum (considering it wasn't even his bike) and he had another fun meltdown. This happens now almost every day since we spend most of our afternoons at the park and we always see bikes at every park. And of course there are dogs everywhere as well, and he will run and chase EVERY dog that we see and try and play with them. Most owners think it's cute at 1st, but then they want to actually leave, and Jayden throws yet another meltdown. Why couldn't this kid be obsessed with something a little more obscure, like koalas?!

I no longer need to go to the gym

Jayden has been perfecting his run over the last couple of months, and, by now, is capable of full on sprinting. And by sprinting, I mean I actually have to run to catch up with him. Oh, and since he's learned this new skill, he has lost the ability to walk...he SPRINTS everywhere, and I end up spending my day running after him. This kid does not stop moving EVER. I'm thinking of getting one of those baby leash things- I used to make fun of parents who had those, but now I'm starting to think it might help me out a bit.

B Street Boxing

One of our friends is a professional boxer and he just opened his own boxing studio. Jeremy has been wanting to go in the ring with Eddie for a LONG time, and they finally did it today. Jer went two rounds, and was exhausted. Jayden and all his lil friends were there to cheer him on. Eddie kinda just laughed at Jer, but we all had a great time!
