Happy 3rd Anniversary

Wow, three years ago today Jer and I tied the knot- seems like ages ago (sad, right, but kids tend to do that to you)! We've been through a lot since we got married 3 years ago- 2 major moves, new jobs, new friends...oh, and a baby (who's no longer a baby). Jeremy is one of the best people I know, and is my bestest friend in the whole world, the only person that truly "gets" me, and I cannot imagine my life without him. Here's to MANY more years together baby!

For our 1st anniversary, we spent a few days in Mendocino (I was 6+ months preggers) and for our 2nd anniversary, we were back East so we went to dinner at the Emerson Inn (where we got married). This year we didn't really do anything too exciting...Daddy worked all day, while J and I met up with Van and Daniel and watched a puppet show at the Mission Valley library, and then had lunch at Ikea.

J and D are both into hugs nowadays...so cute!

How cute are these two?!

After J's nap, we made Daddy stop working a little early, and headed to the zoo where we met up Helle, Julie and Brad. We had an awesome time at the zoo, and ended up getting home from the zoo way later than planned. We were planning on making a nice dinner together, but were exhausted, so ended up just relaxing in the hot tub for a bit, and then passing out. Hopefully we'll be able to get away for a night sometime this fall to be able to celebrate more properly (i.e. without the lil one).

Our new kitchen table

Thanks AG, the table looks awesome in our kitchen =)

Road Trip to LA...without the lil man

Uncle AG finally made the big jump and is now living with Jamie!!!!!!!!! We, of course, couldn't be happier since we love Jamie (and he also has a pretty pimp place)! AG needed some help moving his stuff since his larger items wouldn't fit in his car, and we needed to get his dining room table from him, so Jer and I went up to LA Saturday morning and left J-doggs with Grandma. It was hard to leave, as J was screaming "mama mama" as we left, but Grandma called a few minutes later and said he was back to normal and having fun. Jayden is almost 2 and we have never left him for more than a few hrs, so this was a little scary, but so necessary, and sooooooo much fun. We got to LA around 2ish, went out to lunch with the boys (in Jamie's convertible!!!), came home and relaxed, and then went out to dinner and to a bar...so weird (and AMAZING) to be an actual person (rather than just a mom) again.

Grandma was awesome and took Jayden on lots of fun adventures, and sent us pictures every couple of hours so we knew he was fine and was having fun. The next day, we slept in until 8:30 (AMAZING!!!!) and then went to brunch, and then, sadly, it was time to head home, back to the real world. When we got home Jayden was napping and I was so tempted to wake him up because I missed him so much (scary since we were only gone for a day). He was so excited when he finally woke up...he gave both of us lots of hugs and kisses. We had such an amazing weekend- can't wait to do it again sometime in the future! Unfortunately, we only took one picture, but here are some of the pics grandma took of J while they hung out together...

First, they headed over to Seaport Village, where Jayden got a balloon, ate ice cream, and hung out with the firemen...

Then, after his nap, they hung out at home, played outside, ate dinner, and took a bath...

The next morning, they hung out upstairs, then drove to G & G's place to see Grandpa for a bit (he flew in from NYC late the night before)

They dropped Grandpa off at work and played outside again...

Grandma, thank you so much for watching J for us, and for taking him on so many fun adventures (and for documenting it all)...you're the best!!!!

Our 1st house guests

Jenny, Craig, and "baby" Clay came down to visit us last week. We hadn't seen them since we moved from San Mateo back in March, so it was so much fun to see them and see how big Clay has gotten (definitely no longer a baby)! We had a blast, and crammed in lots of activities in the 2 days they were visiting. We went to the zoo, the beach, and Seaport Village, ate yummy BBQ, and Jenny and I even squeezed in a movie one night while the boys babysat. We were very sad to see them go, but hopefully they will come visit again sometime soon.
