Wow, 2 weeks until
Jayden turns one. Last year at this time I was HUGE, couldn't sleep for more than 2 hours, went to the bathroom every hour and was having crazy heartburn. Funny how that seems like years ago. While I don't miss being pregnant one bit, I do now understand when people would say to me "don't be so fast to want that baby out of your belly, because sometimes you will want to put him back." I remember being confused when people would say this to me...I'd waited for so long and all I wanted to do was meet my baby and I couldn't imagine ever wanting him to be back in my belly. Ha, well, now that I have a toddler who hits, bites and kicks me, throws tantrums, and is "busy" as one of my friends described, I definitely get it, and sometimes think back to the days when things were so much easier.

Exactly 1 year ago
Jayden and I are now starting to get used to our new schedule, now that J only takes 1 nap a day. We went to the gym every day this week and
Jayden is having so much fun at the kid's club. It's been so nice for me to get back to something that I used to love and had pretty much stopped since J was born. The one problem I'm having is that I'm exhausted and sore in the afternoons because my body isn't used to exercising, but when you're a mom of a toddler you definitely don't have time to be tired...so, I'm hoping that I will get used to working out and will stop being so tired (it also doesn't help that I've been going to bed super late every night for absolutely no reason).
After the gym, we go back home and
Jayden and I have lunch.
Jayden hasn't been the best eater these last few weeks- at 1st I thought it was due to teething, since he usually doesn't eat that much when he's teething, but it's been 2 weeks, and still no teeth, and his eating hasn't gotten any better. He usually eats one big meal and then pretty much throws his food on the floor for his other 2 meals. After lunch
Jayden passes out- sometimes he'll sleep for 2.5 hrs, but usually he only sleeps for an 1.5 hrs...so I have a little time to shower, clean, and make
Jayden's dinner.
When
Jayden wakes up we are off again and we head over to open gym at the SM Jr. Gym. I'm so glad we found this place- J has so much fun there, interacts with other kids, gets his energy out, and best of all, it's FREE since we take a class there.
Jayden's new obsession...BALLS
After the Jr Gym, we usually run some errands or go to
Talbots Toys to play with the train tables. The early evening is really hard
because both J and I are exhausted, so I try and stay close to home and try and distract J from realizing how tired he is. We usually just go outside and walk around our building or sometimes go to the park down the street.

Playing peek-a-boo outside
After playing outside, it dinner time, which usually is a disaster, and then we play around the apartment while I count down the minutes until bedtime. And at 7pm, I put my little tired boy to bed and he passes out the moment I put him down...and then I crash on the couch and wait for Jer to get home.
