Random videos for the Grandparents
I just uploaded lots of random videos that have been taken over the past month or so...just go to our vimeo page to find them all. They're nothing too exciting (we still have yet to capture J talking or saying animal sounds on camera since he seems to get camera shy)...but thought the Grandparents would want to see the little man in action.

15.5 month update
It's been a while since I've had time to post an update on what our little man has been up to...he's been doing so many new things, so I thought I should write a quick update so I don't forget all the funny things he's been doing lately. He's still not officially saying real words yet, but he's sooooo close. He's really into saying animal sounds; he will open his mouth wide and "roar" when we show him a bear, will say"cack cack" when we ask him what a duck says, sticks his tongue out and pants like a dog saying "hahaha" when he sees or hears a dog (or anything that resembles a dog), a lets out a high pitched "meahmeah" when he sees a cat. He definitely says car when he sees a car, but he also says car for everything that moves. He very rarely says mama, but, of course, always says dada. He's definitely going to start talking like crazy in the next couple of months.
Jayden is also now back to eating. He's still pretty picky about what he eats (this kid would eat pasta for every meal if I let him), but at least he's finally eating food and I no longer have to blend everything into a smoothie. He's getting pretty good at using utensils and loves to use a spoon. His favorite foods right now are: alphabet pasta, TJ Harvest grains, apple sauce, edamame, olives, clementines, strawberries, and waffles.
Jayden is now running at almost full speed and has started to attempt to jump. He now walks the balance beam at Jr. Gym almost by himself. He never stops moving and gets very mad if we are stuck in our house for too long (and too long is anything more than 10 minutes).
That's all I can think of for now- will add more later if I think of something else exciting going on.

Are you getting sick of the beach posts yet?!!
Jayden loves the beach...I mean this kid absolutely LOVES the beach. From the moment his feet touch the sand, he does not stop smiling, squealing, and exploring. Since we live so close to the beach and since it's still beautiful out, we headed back to the beach again this morning. Jayden of course had a blast, chasing the seagulls, picking up rocks and shells, playing with dogs (he now loves dogs), and running and running and running EVERYWHERE...this kid never stops moving. He of course passed out the moment I put him in his car seat.

Where were you when the 1st black president was sworn in?!
Today is one of those defining moments in history-- for the 1st time ever, the United States has sworn in a black president. Jayden and I went to Jenny and Clay's house to watch the inauguration and we sat in tears, thankful for those who fought so hard for this very moment, hopeful of what's to come in the future, and proud to a part of such an incredible moment of history. Jayden will have no memory of this moment, but when he talks about this in his high school US History class, I will show him this entry and tell him where we were and how important this day was.

A little slice of paradise...all to ourselves
We heard on the news that the weather is supposed to go back to normal (50's and rainy) in the next few days, so we decided to go back to the beach today since we probably won't be able to go again for another couple of months. We headed to Half Moon Bay and were planning on going to the same beach we always go to, but Daddy decided we should be adventurous and check out a new beach nearby. We drove South and stopped at some random farm that had a sign for coastal access. We had to walk down a LONG pebbly road and of course I was whining to Jer saying we should've just gone to our regular beach, when all of a sudden we saw these stairs that led to this amazing secluded beach. Jayden of course had a blast running around, jumping in his hole daddy made for him, picking up shells and proudly showing his daddy what he found...we are already planning our next trip back to this amazing beach!
