B Street Boxing

One of our friends is a professional boxer and he just opened his own boxing studio. Jeremy has been wanting to go in the ring with Eddie for a LONG time, and they finally did it today. Jer went two rounds, and was exhausted. Jayden and all his lil friends were there to cheer him on. Eddie kinda just laughed at Jer, but we all had a great time!

The hit of the party

We went to a party tonight and Jayden was by far the hit of the party...he has been a little whiny lately because he's getting his incisors, but they are finally through (well, one side), and he's now in a much better mood. When Jayden saw a dog, lots of yummy food, and plenty of people giving him attention, he couldn't help but spend the whole night smiling and giggling...sometimes I just want to eat him up he's so stinkin cute!

Every Friday I take Jayden to a preschool "building blocks" class (really just an opportunity for the lil ones to explore a preschool classroom). He gets so excited when he sees where we're going and he plays and has fun (pretty much on his own) for the entire class. This is the ONLY time he will play with toys and not care if I'm not with him...usually he will whine if I'm not sitting next to him playing with him. His favorite things to play with are the trains and cars and all music instruments.

Flashback Friday (it's been a while)

We haven't been that good at taking pictures lately, so I thought I'd throw in some old school pics from exactly a year ago. I don't even recognize Jayden in these pictures. Every time I look at pictures of Jayden from when he was little I am amazed at how my brain is able to completely forget what he looked like and how he acted even though it was only a year ago...(good thing we have about 2000 pictures of our little man).

Happy 16 months Jayden

Jayden is so much fun these days. He understands so much and is really trying to communicate with us all the time. He knows a lot of animal sounds and most of his body parts, but he's still holding out on the talking thing. He just started to say mama a lot, which makes me so proud.

His most favorite thing to do these days is sprint up and down the halls chasing Jenkins and Sprocket (our neighbors' new dog). He has endless energy and squeals and laughs the entire time he plays with them. When we get off the elevator, he runs over to Jagu's door (Sprocket's mommy) and starts to pant (how he says dog) and when we go to throw the trash out, he runs down the hall, stands in front of Jenny's door (Jenkins' mommy) and says "meow"...so stinkin cute!

Jayden's is having so much fun with his little friends nowadays...it's like all of a sudden they noticed they were all there and they now play together and laugh with each other. Jayden's also getting better at playing by himself, which I love so I can actually sometimes go to the bathroom by myself or get dressed without him attached to my leg.

Two of Jayden's canine teeth broke through today, so we have 6 more teeth to go and then we're done with teething!
