Today was one of those days where I am sitting back on the couch (now that J is finally asleep) and my heart is smiling- so full of happiness and so thankful for everything and everyone in our lives. When we were in San Mateo we had a great group of friends and a nice apartment, but something was just missing in our lives. When we moved here, I was so nervous that we would regret it since we didn't know anyone (except G & G) and it would be hard to find new friends. Somehow, things have just worked itself out...we are 5 minutes from G & G, and over the last few months, we have managed to make a whole new group of friends.
Yesterday we had playgroup at Helle and Julie's and Jayden had so much fun. Julie has a pet turtle and in the morning I told J we were going to Julie's for playgroup and he proceeded to walk around the house for the next hr saying "Julie, turtle, Julie, turtle." I didn't even mention the turtle and the last time we had been to Julie's was on the 4th...this kid amazes me every day.
After a great playgroup, we came home and J took a 3hr nap!!!!!!! When he woke up, Helle, Brad & Julie came over for a bit to play, and then G & G and Auntie Lil came over for dinner. We broke in the new BBQ that Daddy had spent all night the night before putting together, and had champagne to celebrate the beginning of our new lives as San Diegans!
