What a day =)

The weather hasn't been that great lately...it's been rather cold (mid 60's) and cloudy this past week (haha, we're so spoiled), but today was absolutely perfect- low 80's and not a single cloud in the sky, so we decided to head over to our favorite place in San Diego, Coronado. The weather was perfect, Jayden was in a great mood, and we didn't have a single tantrum the entire day... I don't think I could dream of a more perfect day with my two favorite people. We spent the ENTIRE day at the beach- 7.5 hrs of fun in the sun!!!! We played in the water, played with trucks, ran, jumped, rolled, climbed "mountains", went for walks, talked with lifeguards, had yummy treats, and, basically, had an AMAZING day!

This picture pretty much sums up today!

LOVE this picture

J doing pushups like daddy...he said "I have to do pushups and then go to the boxing gym"...haha, think this lil boy loves his daddy?!

J riding his "daddy motorcycle"

Can't go to Coronado without getting ice cream!

I had put away the camera and J said "more camera mommy, I want to say cheese" (he's learning about cameras in school)...so this is his cheese face

After spending all morning and afternoon at the beach, J was pooped, so he took a little snooze in the stroller (maybe his 3rd or 4th time he's ever fallen asleep in the stroller)

The Marina (we went on a walk around Coronado while J snoozed)

Once J woke up from his catnap, we headed back to the beach because he wanted to climb the mountain with daddy again (J told me I couldn't come because it was too hard for me to climb- thanks dude)

Singing and playing the drums with daddy

The end to a perfect day with my two besties

Choo choo trains

I saw this on our window seat when I came home from the gym tonight...Jayden loves to take his trains (or trucks, blocks, little people etc) and arrange them in a nice neat line...so cute!

He eats...

Jayden has always been a very picky eater, and gets by mostly on snacks...but today he ate three meals (including lots of veggies and his new favorite, tofu) and two snacks...definitely the most I have EVER seen him eat...I'm assuming he's going through a growth spurt, and we'll wake up tomorrow and he'll refuse to eat his meals like normal...but, for the time being, it's really nice having a kid who eats.

Our little fireman

On our way to the arcade, we saw a firetruck outside the Del Cerro fire station, so Daddy decided to stop by and see if Jayden could meet some real life firemen (since he's obsessed with firemen right now). They were so nice- they let him drive the truck, then we got a tour of the fire station and even watched a fireman go down the fire pole. As we were leaving, they got a call, so we watched them quickly put on their fireman outfits, hop in the truck, and turn on the sirens...so ridiculously amazing to watch Jayden's face as he met the firemen, sat in the truck, and watched the sirens go on. He was in complete awe, and it was so fun to watch...this kid drives me crazy sometimes, but it's painful how much I love him =)

Hurry hurry drive the firetruck

We ended the day with Daddy and Jayden heading to the arcade while mommy got some shopping done...as usual, the boys had a blast!

Weekly adventures

Our friends have been busy this week, so Jayden and I have had lots of one-on-one time this week. We've had a rough couple of weeks, but still managed to squeeze in some fun. Jayden is obsessed with firemen and wears his fireman outfit almost every day...at 1st I thought it was cute, now, not so much, but I'm just rolling with it because, honestly, I can't handle any more breakdowns.

Playing downstairs (and of course, wearing the fireman jacket)

Putting out the fires

Finally old enough to go on the big blue mats at seaworld

Loving the big blue mat (this all he talked about the rest of the day)

Biking to Seaport (in his fireman boots)

Chasing the birdies

Little boy, big kite...Jayden was in a bad mood all morning, so I thought going to Seaport Village would make him happy. He was having fun riding his bike and chasing the birds, but was still having the oh so fun breakdowns every couple of minutes...until we saw this kite (THANK YOU KITE)...we played with this kite--ran and rolled around and under it for over an hour and Jayden was laughing and grinning the entire time...made my day!

Who knew a big kite could be this much fun?!

Running through the "rainbow tunnel"

Trying to touch the yellow (J's favorite color)

Oh how I LOVE San Diego!!!!!!

Chasing Daddy (he's becoming a master balance bike rider!)

My conversation with Jayden last night

When I went upstairs to get ready for the gym, Jayden followed me and stared at me as I took of my clothes. This was our hilarious conversation:

J: Mommy no have a penis
Me: You're right Jayden, Mommy doesn't have a penis, only boys have penis' and Mommy isn't a boy
J: Mommy no have a penis, mommy has a bagina
Me: Yes, you're right
J: Jayden no touch mommy's bagina, bagina is pivate
Me: You're right Jayden
J: And bagina yucky too
Me: Who told you that?
J: Daddy

I need to write more of our conversations down because this kid is so ridiculously funny right now...I love it!
